What caught our eye

Every week we walk the city so you don't have to. Here are the openings our team stopped for: the rooms, the counters and the shelves shaping Tokyo right now.

It's Obon, supposedly the quietest week of the year. And yet: a sumo ring went up at Tokyo Tower, Google opened its first store outside the US, and a tsukemen brand launched a miso-only shop. The city doesn't really slow down anymore.
